Do we need any new phone hardware?

No hardware is needed at all. The Masjid Assistant works with your existing phone number and phone line. We set up call forwarding so that calls are answered by the assistant automatically. Nothing changes for your congregation - they dial the same number they always have.

Can we keep our existing phone number?

Yes - your mosque keeps its existing number. We configure call forwarding from your current number to the assistant. Your congregation, your website, your printed materials - nothing needs to change. The assistant answers in your mosque's name exactly as you instruct us.

What if it can't answer a question?

The assistant is trained to recognise when a question falls outside its knowledge. In those cases it does one of two things - either it takes the caller's name and number and emails it to your team immediately as an urgent message, or it transfers the call directly to a staff member or the imam. No caller is ever left without a next step.

How do we update the information?

Simply email or WhatsApp us with any changes - updated prayer times, new events, Ramadan schedule changes, new staff members - and we update the assistant within 24 hours. We are also building a self-service dashboard so you can make simple updates yourself without contacting us.

Is it recorded? Can we listen back to calls?

Yes - every call is recorded and transcribed. You receive a summary email after each call and have access to a dashboard where you can listen back to any conversation, read the transcript, and see what action was taken. This gives your team full visibility of every enquiry that comes in, even out of hours.

What languages does it support?

The assistant currently operates in English. Arabic and Urdu language support is in development and will be available to all existing customers when released. If your congregation has specific language needs, please mention this when you sign up and we will let you know as soon as multilingual support is live.

Is there a setup fee?
