The Makkah to Madinah cycle ride, known as the Hijrah Ride, is a powerful journey inspired by the historic migration of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. This unique charity cycling challenge covers approximately 300 miles between the two holiest cities in Islam, raising vital funds to support humanitarian causes including orphans and families in Gaza.
The Hijrah Ride has already seen incredible success, with the 2025 ride captured through powerful video highlights and the 2026 ride bringing together committed participants from across the UK and beyond. Each year continues to build momentum, impact, and global support.
What is the Hijrah Ride?
The Hijrah Ride is a charity cycling event that retraces the historic journey from Makkah to Madinah, symbolising resilience, faith, and unity. Covering around 300 miles, this challenge brings together cyclists who aim to raise funds for urgent humanitarian causes.
Participants take part not only to test their physical endurance, but to contribute towards projects such as orphan care, food aid, medical assistance, and emergency relief for vulnerable communities.
Previous Hijrah Rides – 2025 and 2026
The Hijrah Ride 2025 marked a powerful beginning, with participants completing the journey and sharing their experiences through video highlights available on this page. These videos capture the spirit, emotion, and purpose behind the ride.
Following this, the Hijrah Ride 2026 continued the mission, expanding participation and impact, and raising vital funds for those in need. Each ride builds on the last, creating a growing movement of purpose-driven individuals.
